This September the Angry Scotsman, a collection of friends who are members of several local Scottish and Celtic charities, along with members of the British Consulate, are looking to have a bit fun while raising awareness and money for the mission of two fine charitable organizations; The Scots Charitable Society and The Charitable Irish Society.
Participants will crawl along a 2.25 mile route through Jamaica Plain stopping at each of our sponsor’s establishments for refreshment, conviviality, and maybe even a brief pipe tune. Upon reaching the last stop and the Scots Charitable Society's friend and patron, The Haven, each entrant who has successfully stopped at every establishment will receive an Angry Scotsman “Bag o’ Swag” for their heroic efforts and an opportunity to win the grand prize for most pledges
In honor of the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn, on Saturday afternoon, the 13th of September, we hope to have at least two dozen hearty souls exhibit true feats of strength and endurance by engaging in the First Annual Kilt Crawl “J.P. or Bust!”
